Home Matters® is a movement that unites America around Home as the place where lives and families thrive, and as the bedrock for a stronger nation.
Who We Are
Home Matters is a movement that unites America around Home as the place where lives and families thrive, and as the bedrock for a stronger nation. As Home Matters grows, so too will public awareness of the proven connections between stable housing and jobs, education, health, the economy, public safety, and other important facets of American life.
Home Matters is spearheaded by the National NeighborWorks Association and supported by the NNA Fund, along with a coast-to-coast coalition of leaders, community groups, nonprofits, and the public at large. We are allied by a critical mission: to show how Home is indispensable to each one of us, and to our country’s progress.
As neighbors, parents, professionals, and individuals of all different backgrounds and vocations, we strive to improve people’s lives, our neighborhoods, and our communities. Join us if you believe in Home as the foundation for success!
What We Do
Most of us know the transformative effects Home can have on our lives. But what about the impact Home has on society? Home Matters shines a much-needed spotlight on the essential role Home plays in our lives, our communities, and our nation. Specifically, we:
Educate: We spread the word about the benefits of Home.
Collaborate: We bring disparate organizations and industries together under one banner to increase access to the power of Home.
Engage: We rally local leaders and mobilize the public, including the millions of people who already benefit from housing and community development work.
Support: We raise funds and increase investments to sustain the work that makes Home a reality for more Americans.
Celebrate: We promote and honor the incredible impact Home has on transforming lives, families, communities, and America.
