South Dakota's economy sees 7th straight year of growth

For the seventh straight year, South Dakota saw a record number of visitors, resulting in economic growth.
A study by Tourism Economics shows visitor spending reached $3.8 billion in 2016. There was an increase of 13.9 million visitors to South Dakota. That’s an increase of 1.4 percent. Landmark anniversaries, low gas prices, and expanded media coverage contributed to the increase.
