GROW South Dakota has received a $250,000 grant from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) Partnership Program. This serves as matching funds for USDA Rural Development loan funds which replenishes the organization’s business revolving loan fund.
The development and growth of GROW South Dakota’s statewide revolving loan fund focuses on serving those with the greatest need who are underrepresented, low-equity, or low-income. “GROW SD has designed and implemented strategies to improve our rural communities as a whole, through community capacity building, job creation, housing and economic development,” stated Lori Finnesand, GROW South Dakota Chief Executive Officer.Through the provision of affordable loan capital, GROW SD can assist underserved rural business owners and communities to push toward the goal of improving the livelihood of residents who choose to live in our small rural communities.
