GROW South Dakota Seeks Opinions
Tuesday, June 21, 2016
GROW South Dakota, the statewide housing, economic and community development nonprofit organization, is conducting its three-year Needs Assessment Survey and invites South Dakota residents to share their opinions. The survey is brief, but its results help GROW SD develop its plan of work. The survey is online at www.growsd.org/survey.
“The survey tells us what’s on the minds of South Dakotans in terms of their communities, and it helps us shape our work,” said Marcia Erickson, GROW SD Co-CEO. “In particular, the survey tells us what South Dakotans’ needs are that can be addressed through our focus areas of housing, economic and community development.”
The survey has been open for about three months. To date, some partial findings from the survey include:
- South Dakotans see their hometowns as safe, friendly places that need more rental and affordable housing options.
- They also see home improvements, including weatherization, and financial coaching as greater needs in their communities.
Survey responses will be accepted through the summer at www.growsd.org/survey.
