GROW South Dakota Pays-It-Forward to Fort Pierre Economic Development
Tuesday, September 13, 2016
For decades, South Dakota’s rural communities have seen the need to be proactive about sustaining growth. Since 1986, the Fort Pierre Economic Development Corporation has been promoting business growth and retention, tourism, and quality of life and making a difference in Fort Pierre and Stanley County. The program is a recipient of a $50 donation from GROW South Dakota’s Pay-It-Forward initiative.
GROW South Dakota has been helping communities for fifty years, and to celebrate that milestone, each staff member and board member has received $50 to donate to a community organization. Marcia Erickson, GROW South Dakota CEO, chose to support the Fort Pierre Economic Development Corporation for its service.
“We value our partners throughout South Dakota. This Pay-It-Forward event is a token of our appreciation toward all of the local organizations that make communities better places to live and work,” said GROW South Dakota CEO Marcia Erickson.
