Sisseton Swimming Pool Association Received Pay-It-Forward Donation

Recreation and fitness are key parts of any community, and the people who provide opportunities for residents to play and get in shape make important contributions to the success of their hometowns. The Sisseton Swimming Pool Association does just that for the people of Sisseton, and it is a recipient of a $50 donation from GROW South Dakota’s Pay-It-Forward initiative.
GROW South Dakota has been helping communities for fifty years, and to celebrate that milestone, each staff member and board member has received $50 to donate to a community organization. Joann Curran, GROW SD program support associate, chose to support SSPA. The nonprofit organization opened in 1988 and offers swimming lessons, water aerobics, open swim, and adult swim for the community. The organization makes a difference for Sisseton.
“As a community development organization, we know that it takes a lot of hard working people and organizations to make communities successful. The Pay-It-Forward program is an opportunity to show our appreciation for all of the organizations that make our communities the great places they are,” said GROW South Dakota CEO Marcia Erickson.
