Britton Baseball and Softball Program Receives Pay-It-Forward Donation

Community development builds the strengths and resources of a community in many ways. A key resource to build in any community is its youth. The Britton Baseball and Softball Program is a program that does just that by offering recreational opportunities that develop fitness as well as team-building, competition, and cooperation skills. It is a recipient of a $50 donation from GROW South Dakota’s Pay-It-Forward initiative.
GROW South Dakota has been helping communities for fifty years, and to celebrate that milestone, each staff member and board member has received $50 to donate to a community organization. Kristin Hofland, GROW SD assistant housing manager, made the donation to the Britton community organization. As Kristin describes it, “The program promotes summer recreation for kids of all ages.”
“We value our board members and staff and the passion they have for the communities we serve. This Pay-It-Forward event is a small token of our appreciation toward all of the local organizations that make communities better places to live and work,” said GROW South Dakota CEO Marcia Erickson.
