GROW South Dakota Pays-It-Forward to the Webster Library
Tuesday, December 13, 2016
Libraries are important to communities that want to get ahead. As more and more information becomes available, libraries remain one of the primary places where anyone can have access to information in all kinds of forms. As a result, the Webster Public Library is a vital part of its community. The library is a recipient of a $50 donation from GROW South Dakota’s Pay-It-Forward initiative.
GROW South Dakota has been helping communities for fifty years, and to celebrate that milestone, each staff member and board member has received $50 to donate to a community organization. Katie Rasmus, GROW South Dakota program and finance director, chose to support the library because it’s such an important part of the community.
“As a community development organization, we know that it takes a lot of hard working people and organizations to make communities successful. The Pay-It-Forward program is an opportunity to show our appreciation for all of the organizations that make our communities the great places they are,” said GROW South Dakota CEO Marcia Erickson.
