Monday, April 11, 2016
GROW South Dakota has been helping communities for fifty years and to celebrate each staff member and board member has been given $50 to donate to a community organization. This month the Boys & Girls Club of Aberdeen received a $50 donation as part of GROW South Dakota’s Pay-It-Forward initiative.
Rod Fouberg, a GROW South Dakota board advisor, made the donation to the Aberdeen, SD area club. The Club provides guidance-oriented character development programs on a daily basis for youth ages K-18 years old. Over the last 12 months overall membership at the club was 1,008 youth with an average daily attendance of 225 youth. The Club has been serving area youth and the surrounding area for 46 years.
“We value our board members and staff and the passion they have for the communities we serve. This Pay-It-Forward event is a small token of our appreciation toward all of the local organizations that make communities better places to live and work,” said GROW South Dakota CEO Marcia Erickson.
