Each year, NeighborWorks America organizes NeighborWorks Week, an event to mobilize volunteers, businesses, neighbors, and leaders at the local level for a week of activities that better the community. This national week of action gets participants out in their communities to help with tasks like repairing homes and neighborhood clean up. Events geared towards education, training, and cultivating neighborhood connections take place.

This year, NeighborWorks Week occurs June 4-11. GROW South Dakota is a proud participant. For more information on the program, visit this link:

A Half-Century of Serving South Dakotans

For more than half a century, the three nonprofit organizations comprising GROW South Dakota have fulfilled a vision of “GROWing sustainable communities through housing, community and economic development.” In 1966 the Northeast South Dakota Community Action Program (NESDCAP) was established as a Community Action Agency in the War on Poverty and has served thousands in 17 counties with emergency services as well as various housing programs.
