GROW South Dakota Pays-It-Forward to the Britton Youth Wrestling Program

Community development aims to build strengths and resources, and it happens in many ways. Vital to any community is its youth, and building up youth is a key community development strategy. The Britton Youth Wrestling Program is a program that does just that by offering young people educational and athletic opportunities and developing fitness as well as team-building, competition, and cooperation skills. It is a recipient of a $50 donation from GROW South Dakota’s Pay-It-Forward initiative.
GROW South Dakota has been helping communities for fifty years, and to celebrate that milestone, each staff member and board member has received $50 to donate to a community organization. Samantha Rein, Executive Associate at GROW South Dakota, made the donation to the Britton program to support equipment purchases for the independent nonprofit organization.
“We value our board members and staff and the passion they have for the communities we serve. This Pay-It-Forward event is a small token of our appreciation toward all of the local organizations that make communities better places to live and work,” said GROW South Dakota CEO Marcia Erickson.
