FREE Business Workshops to be Held in June

In June 2017 GROW South Dakota will be hosting a free workshop titled Get Your Business Online in Clear Lake, Eureka, and Highmore. Attendees will learn from Google experts through video presentations. Kelly Weaver, with the Small Business Development Center, will be on hand for questions and for hands on help with creating an online profile.

The workshops will be held:

Tuesday, June 13 from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm in Clear Lake at the Sports Page. Register here or by contacting Joan Sacrison at (605) 874-8038.
Wednesday, June 21 from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm in Eureka at the Eureka Information Center. Register here or by contacting Wanda Jundt at (605) 284-2130.
Thursday, June 29 from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm in Highmore at the Venture Communication Office. Register here or by contacting John Sleger at (605) 852-2471.

Also being held in June is a QuickBooks workshop in Ipswich, SD. 

Tuesday, June 15 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Ipswich at the United Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. Register by contacting Judy Steen at (605) 426-6324.

This workshop is designed for those considering a computer-based accounting system. Or those QuickBooks users who are using it in their business but feel they would benefit from the topics covered.  Topics covered will include Chart of Accounts, Items, Customers, Vendors, Invoicing, Check Writing, Bills, and Reports.

All trainings are free and open to both small and large-sized businesses. For more information about the events, call (605) 698-7654. The training is provided in partnership with the Small Business Administration, USDA Rural Development, and the local Economic Development Corporations. In 1978, NESDCAP created the Northeast South Dakota Economic Corporation (NESDEC) as a revolving loan fund to focus on small business lending and job creation in 22 counties. In 2007, Grow South Dakota, was formed to provide housing, community and economic development statewide. Through services to individuals, technical assistance to community and economic development agencies, and loans to small businesses and homebuyers, GROW South Dakota has had broad and lasting impact.
