Chasing Dandelions brings Play Therapy to Aberdeen

Autumn Neigel founded Chasing Dandelions Play Therapy and Counseling Services, a one-of-a-kind business in her community. As she embarked on her counseling journey, she quickly recognized a significant gap in mental health services for young children. "I saw a need to work with young children in mental health where previously, there was little to no help," she explained. 

Autumn’s dedication and perseverance have helped her achieve remarkable milestones. She became the first in her family to earn a master’s degree, and she will soon hold the distinction of being the only registered play therapist in the area.

GROW SD has played an essential role in her success as a business owner, by offering services such as business coaching, assistance in creating a comprehensive business plan, financial projections, and securing the loan that allowed her to launch and sustain her practice.

"It feels AMAZING to be my own boss!" Autumn shared, "It’s like a weight has been lifted." She added, "Seeing the pride in my children's eyes when they talk about ‘mom being her own boss’ and how I’m 'famous because I have my own business' makes it all worth it."
