Supporting 13-states and three U.S. Pacific territories, FHLB Des Moines has nearly 1,500 member-owners that rely on the Bank to finance projects and initiatives promoting growth. These local lenders are stronger, further capable of supporting ongoing economic stability and community development as a result of working through FHLB Des Moines. It is critical to preserve, and even advance, the unique structure of the Des Moines Bank and the entire FHLBank System.

FHLB Des Moines has created a public policy network called Strengthening Communities Together to build a solid coalition of advocates who recognize the importance of the FHLBank System and can be enlisted to help explain, to policymakers, the positive impact that the Federal Home Loan Banks have had on thousands of communities over the years.
